KTN News Kenya features Wildlife Works Eco-charcoal venture, which provides a commercial alternative to conventional forest-destroying charcoal. Eco-charcoal uses pruned branches from indigenous trees, preventing the destruction of trees. The feature highlights Constance Mademu, the team leader at the Wildlife Works Eco-charcoal department as the “Hero of the Week” (Shujaa ya Wiki). Constance has come a long way from being a former charcoal-burner to running the Eco-charcoal operation.
