Wildlife Works is an international conservation company whose mission is to stop deforestation by providing alternative income streams to forest communities. With offices and employees in 10 countries and growing, Wildlife Works is looking to fill this newly created role that will report directly to the Wildlife Works Carbon LLC CFO.   

Job Summary:

The Senior Human Resource Manager will manage, lead and conduct the operations, policies, and activities of all Human Resource (HR) responsibilities, ensuring legal compliance, consistency and value alignment across all international entities. This is a remote position and can be based from anywhere in the U.S.



  • Administer all human resource operations including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development, prepare contracts and job offers, onboard new staff in multiple countries and states, ensure compliance with benefits packages, 401K, etc

  • With guidance from the management team, plan, lead, develop, write, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and programs to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.

  • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Work with international directors to ensure compliance and alignment with headquarter values

  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

  • Develop and support company and employee-led programs that enrich access to information and resources that uphold company values of sustainability, equity and inclusion

  • Develop programs for professional development, training, and certification activities for career development and company culture.

  • Develop and implements departmental budget. 

  • Perform other duties as required.

Education, Experience, Background:

  • Bachelor’s required

  • At least five years of human resource management experience required

  • Previous international HR experience desired or a genuine interest and willingness to learn and research international issues in an organization that values initiative.
