Madagascar
Madagascar is the fourth largest island on Earth. While it is most famous for its 51 kinds of Lemur, Madagascar has an astounding 10 plant families, 5 bird families, and 5 primate families that live nowhere else on Earth. It is one of the most important and threatened conservation priority areas on the planet.

We have begun talks with a well known conservation organization to determine whether Wildlife Works can establish an EcoFactory on Madagascar to relieve pressure on the forest habitat in which the lemurs and other unique species live. Economic conditions are very bad in Madagascar due to a relatively recent collapse of a once thriving garment industry.
