Meet the women who make your products.
Here are a few of the stories of the women who make your products in our Ecofactory at our Rukinga sanctuary in Kenya. Our story is really their story. They become our champions in their community, asking their friends and families to forego poaching to protect their jobs, and the independence it gives them.

Catherine Mwake
My name is Catherine. I am a single mother to a 19year old daughter.
I got employed at Wildlife Works in January 2002. I heard about the job vacancies in a meeting. I applied, came for the interview and got the job. Before then, I was running a small business selling clothes and groceries. I made about Ksh.300 per week.($4) This was not enough to educate my daughter.
Since I began working at Wildlife Works, I have learnt more about operating sewing machines. I have been able to educate my daughter through secondary school. And I have bought a dairy cow that provides milk for my family. Working here is a great experience because I have been able to meet with my work mates. They are helpful and we have a merry go round that helps us with projects at our homes.
I hope that we will get more orders for the factory. This will enable more ladies from our community to get employed. And they will also benefit as we have.
