Meet the women who make your products.
Here are a few of the stories of the women who make your products in our Ecofactory at our Rukinga sanctuary in Kenya. Our story is really their story. They become our champions in their community, asking their friends and families to forego poaching to protect their jobs, and the independence it gives them.

Anna M. Katuu, 34 years
My name is Anna. I am married with 3 children aged 11years, 6years and 4 months. My husband is an electrician in Nairobi.
I got to hear about work at Wildlife Works through an announcement at a chief’s Baraza (meeting) in Marungu. I applied for the job and I got employed in July 2001. Before I got this job I used to sew clothes for my friends and family on request. This hardly gave me any income.
Since I got this job am able to supplement my husband’s income and not depend on him for everything. I also have a small business for supplying school uniforms. My children go to better schools. I have learnt on the job skills on use of sewing machines and different garment styles. My life has improved for the better and I thank God for everything.
I hope that we will get more orders, so as to have more income for the company and thus for our families.
